Become A Reoccurring Food Donor
We work hard to rescue as much food as possible. To keep up with our weekly goal of delivering 600 meals per week, we always need more filler foods to round out our recipes. Every contribution helps!
Reference of donation:
$100 = Roughly 600 meals!
$50 = 40lb bag of rice. This will make about 350 individual bowl meals.
$20 = 10 boxes of pasta which makes roughly 125 individual pasta meals.

(September 2, 2024) CENTENNIAL, Colo. — In a world of food waste, the nonprofit Philo's Kitchen is hoping to reduce what ends up in the garbage or landfill. The nonprofit takes perishable food that would otherwise go to waste and turns the ingredients into freezer meals, distributed to low-income families and individuals who rely on food banks. Problem:
Some food banks and donation centers take these perishable foods, but do not have the means to distribute them before they expire. Unfortunately, these tend to be the most nutritious. With only a small window of time to save this food before it goes bad, almost all of it is discarded.
Solution:
We collect the perishable food donations, and then cook, package and freeze them; thus extending the shelf life and providing those in need a nutritious meal.

We need your help!
Our small nonprofit venture is ready to take the next steps! That mostly means funding and finding more volunteers.
Needs:
*We need to find foundations/groups to accept our business model to review for funding.
*Connecting with individuals with experience in growing nonprofits.
*Local volunteers to cook 10 meals twice a month.
